Construction update
We will consult with the community about our construction activities and will manage the project to minimise its impact wherever practicable.
We are committed to working with the neighbouring gas sites to ensure that the other projects planned are coordinated and the collective impacts are kept to a minimum.
- Traffic - The traffic management plan, which we are developing in consultation with the highway authority (Norfolk CC) and other terminal operators, will help to minimise inconvenience to the community by using approved routes and shuttle buses.
- Noise - We will use modern technology to reduce the impact of noise and will conduct the noisiest operations during normal working hours wherever practicable.
- Visual effects - The new onshore gas compression and processing facilities will be constructed on spare land within the existing Perenco site. The new structures will be designed as far as practicable to sit within the existing skyline and structures on the Perenco, Shell and Eni sites.
